Evaluating Evidence - Constructing a Better Personal Reality With Rational Skepticism

A lot of things have changed for me in 2020.   I now have children, and I feel a greater responsibility to leave them a legacy than I did when I was single, and even when I was married but without children.  The purpose of a good legacy in my opinion is not to burden - the purpose is to expand opportunities.  Therefore the core of any legacy I leave to them should be primarily financial.

I will also lay out and review some of my goals on a daily basis, weekly, monthly, yearly and five year basis.  The goal is to work towards self-improvement.  I want to evolve into a person with a better structure to his life.  Conscientiousness has traditionally been my weakest dimension on the 5 personality traits scale - I would like to see whether I can bring it under control and raise the cap on my limitations.

Here are some goals for me based on things I have always wanted to do:

1. Write a book on table tennis.

2. Write a book on how to practically evaluate evidence with the intelligence, logic and imagination of a scientific empiricist.

3. Learn to raise and handle my children better.

4. Improve my ability to analyze and assess data and perform mathematical manipulations/transformations of data.

5. Get healthier and reduce my consumption of polyunsaturated n-6 fats.

This will be my more personal blog while XtraLaj.blogspot.com will be my more public blog.

The journey begins!
